Posted May 05, 2018 06:33:47Victor Sinclair is planning to sell its flagship Victor Sinclair Cigars to the British and US marketplaces.
In a statement to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the company said it was “concerned” by the “lack of transparency” in its sale arrangements with the British, Australian and New Zealand government.
“This is our largest-ever export market and we need to ensure that we’re transparent and compliant with the law,” it said.
“The British Government has indicated that they’re keen to explore opportunities with other major markets, including the US and the EU.”
However, they have not yet indicated to us any plans to purchase any of our Victor Sinclair brands.
“As a result, we are looking to the UK and the US to facilitate our sales to these markets.”
Victor Sinclair’s products are available in a number of categories including cigars, single cigar, premium and premium-priced cigars.
In Australia, its cigar brands include the Alec Bradley Reserve and the Alec Station.
Its premium cigar brands are the Alec and the Lancero.
Its cigar line-up includes the Liga Privada, Churchill, Churchill-Lima and the Romeo y Julieta.
It has also made deals with the Cigar Association of Australia, the Australian Smoke Cigarette Association and the Australian Tobacco Industry Council.
It said it would not be making any announcements in the near future.
