Ferraro was forced to miss last weekend’s win over Atalanta after being stretchered off with an ankle injury.
The 23-year-old was given an injection at the end of the match to treat the ankle injury and then was forced off with a hamstring strain.
But he will be back in action against Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday and the Italian coach confirmed he would be back to start the Serie A game on Sunday against Sassuolo.
“I am not very clear but it is clear that we are still working on recovering from this injury,” he said.
“The only thing I can tell you is that we will be in training again on Monday and we will play in the match against Sassuaolo on Wednesday.”
Ferraro is still recovering from a hamstring injury and was given a injection in the early hours of Sunday morning to help his ankle.
However, it was not until the following morning that he was back in training and he did not return to action until Monday.
The Italian Coach said he could not confirm how long the injury will be.
“We are working on recovery but I cannot say how long it will take,” he told Rai Sport.
“It is a little bit longer than I thought, but I am not sure exactly.
I can only say that we do not have an answer yet, it is still a problem that we need to solve.”
